The 4 Stages of Harnessing Your Energy

Energy is a precious thing! We use it every day on all the little things that we take on throughout the day. All of our everyday responsibilities, like our work and home lives can unknowingly drain our energy. Fatigue, burn-out, and emotional exhaustion are all signs that we need to reinvigorate and feed our inner selves. Whether it is mental, emotional, or spiritual energy let’s take the time to learn how to harness it:

1. Manifest it!

Our thoughts hold a lot of power! The first stage to harnessing your energy is through the act of manifestation. Each thought you have can influence your energy either negatively or positively. So practice gratitude, and fully envision the thing that you want to bring into reality. To help you manifest your energy, I find that using daily affirmations helps me get into the right frame of mind for the day. Here are some affirmations I use every day.

2. Focus on What Nourishes You

The second stage after accumulating that positive energy, is to build a foundation for it to grow on!  By focusing on what nourishes you spiritually, mentally, and emotionally you can keep your energy levels stable. This could be seeing friends who are a good source of support, eating nutritious food, joining in on community-related events, or simply going for a walk in nature.

3. Pick Your Battles!

The third stage of harnessing your energy is realizing that it isn’t always an upward battle. There will be things that will unavoidably drain your energy. It is how you choose to react to those situations that can affect your energy. 

Breathe, take a moment before reacting and think, “Is getting frustrated about this worth my mental and emotional energy?”. The second you realize that not every fight needs to be had, the sooner you can reach inner peace. So pick your battles wisely, and keep moving forward. 

4. Meditation

Meditation is an effective tool that you can incorporate daily and will allow you to see where negative energy has built up inside the body (and the mind!).  Check out these meditative techniques to get started and harness your power!
