DIY Face Masks That Include Essential Oils

***Disclaimer - this post may include affiliate links***

If I’m ever feeling or looking dull and tired, my go-to solution is to put a face mask on.

While there are many options that you can purchase from the supermarket, from hydrating, sheet, clay... the list is endless. That said, I usually go for the all-natural, all-easy-peasy DIY.

When making DIY masks, I try to just use ingredients I have in the house, such as oats, honey, and essential oils. Using natural ingredients helps me know exactly what’s going on my face and in my skin, a lot of the store-bought ones contain chemicals that sometimes do more harm than good. This way, it’s a little project of finding what I have in the cupboard. What’s more, essential oils give any mask that boost it needs.

Here are some of my easiest little recipes for DIY face masks:

1. The Turmeric One  - Turmeric has anti-inflammation properties so it is said to reduce acne and brighten the skin.

Mix together 2 tablespoons of honey, turmeric, a little flour (to avoid staining), and lemon essential oil in a small bowl, spread evenly over your face and neck.

2. The Sleepy One - This one is for tired-looking skin. The blend of calming lavender and oatmeal will encourage brightness and help with dry skin.

Combine 2 tablespoons of yogurt, one small handful of oats, 3 drops of lavender oil, and a squeeze of honey for this mask.

3. The Pumpkin One - Get yourself in the autumn mood with this mask. It’s filled with vitamin C, which will ensure your skin gets the nutrients it needs.

Get some puree from a pumpkin (cut some up and blitz in a blender) and mix with 2 drops of orange essential oil and a squeeze of honey.

These are just 3 recipes for face masks, I have plenty more under my belt. I tend to make it up as I go. I’ve used eggs, avocados, and more! Let me know if you want a part 2!

Natural ingredients are effortless and applying them to your face has excellent healing properties.=

But remember: The most important, is what you put inside your body - drink plenty of water, get all of your nutrients, and your skin will give you something to smile about!

Thanks, beautiful souls,

Jackie
