Whether it’s as small as what to eat for dinner or a bigger one, like who to spend the rest of your life with. It’s completely normal to struggle with which path to take.

Here are my top 5 ways to make decisions:

  1. Try not to think about the stressful elements - It’s easy to consider all the things that could go wrong, but try to minimize this. Meditate and allow the stress to pass you by. Then see how you feel about the decision. 

2. Think about it - Best way to make a decision? Think about it… Give it enough time to think about the matter at hand. Don’t be scared to sleep on it. The answer should become quite clear in the morning.

3. Distract yourself - Okay, now you’ve had a thought or three. Distract yourself and try to spend time thinking about something else. Whether you need to go for a walk, do some yoga, or hang out with friends. Once you’ve had your distraction time, your decision should become clearer and clearer.

4. Usually, the simplest answer is the right answer - When thinking about the decision, it is easy to get caught up in every single outcome. Don’t overthink it. Usually, the truth is simple. Listen to your intuition and trust...

5. Talk about it to someone - Chat with your friends about it, friends always have your best interests in mind. But remember, heed the counsel of only those you trust. And in the end, nobody knows you better than yourself.
