Scary Things We Should Leave In October

***Disclaimer - this post may include affiliate links***

Happy Halloween and Happy Blue Moon!

In true Halloween-y fashion, I’m spending the day getting festive by carving my pumpkins and watching some scary movies in cozy pajamas, with my autumn essential oil blends. I can’t help but find Halloween to be a time of high energy and thoughtfulness. Perhaps it’s the rare blue moon!

It’s been an interesting 7 months. With the pandemic, the run-up to the election, and much, much more. There’s a lot of stuff I want to leave behind in October, and plenty of things I want to work towards in November:

Here are some things I’d happily leave behind:

1. Fear of the unknown - I have spent far too much time worrying about what’s going to happen and sometimes,  I don’t take the time to own the moment. My recent blog highlights this in more detail.

2. Toxic relationships - In these unprecedented times, you realize who is there for you and who isn’t. I am banishing toxic relationships from my life right NOW. Friendships and relationships are meant to nourish us and fill us with happiness, not stress.

3. Lack of motivation - Autumn is a month where motivation isn’t as ripe as in Spring or Summer. Let’s stop that! My blog with tips for Autumn motivation will help inspire you to reach your unlocked potential.

4. Not speaking up for what’s right - This year has been a politically and culturally charged one. Perhaps pre-covid and before the Black Lives Matter movement, we weren’t open and willing to learn or speak up on issues.

This has got to change - the conversations and open discussions I’ve had even on the most uncomfortable topics, have been entirely beneficial to my wellbeing and it has felt amazing to be able to speak my truth!  It’s liberating!
