Mental Health Moves for Mental Health Awareness Month
Hello beautiful souls! This month is a pretty exciting one isn’t it?
It’s AAPI Heritage Month, Mental Health Awareness Month and Women’s Health Awareness Month.
As well as this, there’s a lot going on astrologically too!
Just as every month has been fruitful and surprising in 2021, May is no different.
But today, we’re talking about what we can do to help our mental health this month.
Did you know that 1 out of 5 American Adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any year of their life?
Mental health is real. So it’s time to practice some self-love activities as an act of self care.
Here’s my favorite mental health moves:
Get some outdoor time.
Make sure you have alone time too!
Journal!
Accept compliments.
Accept help when you need it.
Make sure you get enough sleep.
Take a relaxing bath.
Dance to your favorite song!
Get some sunshine on your face.
Laugh!
Cry.
Meditate.
Be kind to yourself.
Learn a new skill that you’ve been wanting to try.
Turn your phone off for a few hours.
Set and stick to boundaries.
Make sure you are exercising.
