Tips For Autumn Motivation
***Disclaimer - this post may include affiliate links***
As we’re entering into the lovely season of Autumn, I thought it’d be best to write a post to celebrate all the brilliant things worth talking about in this (sometimes) windy yet refreshing season. Pumpkins, Halloween, orange falling leaves, hot cups of cocoa.
That said, sometimes the change of the weather can get us down and in need of some inspiration. Seasonal affective disorder can affect 10 million Americans in the colder seasons. Even if you don’t suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder), it’s still pretty common to feel a bit down because of the weather. All this coupled with being cooped up this summer; it’s not the best recipe for joy, but ‘happiness can be found in even the darkest of times if one remembers to turn on the light’.
It’s a time for beautiful and new beginnings!
Here are my tried and tested tips for motivation this season.
Keep active - Don’t stay inside all day wishing the rain away, keep your body active and moving. Take yourself on nature walks or do some indoor exercise.
Learn a new skill - Keep on learning. Is there something you’ve been wanting to get involved in like a new sport or skill? Start your new year’s resolutions early!
Read/consume happy things - Stay positive and introduce the positivity into your daily lives. Read, watch, and listen to stuff that makes you happy.

4. Go for walks in nature - I said we’ve gotta keep active, but a lot of the time we’ll go to the gym instead of going for a run on the beach, or in the forest. In the fall, those trees are transforming. Enjoy it!
5. Keep setting goals - My No. 1 tip for motivation is to keep your eyes on the prize. When you’re feeling uninspired, most of the time all you need is a good push. Keep in mind what you want to achieve, set realistic goals, and do your best.
6. Keep healthy! Eat good and delicious foods that are in season. Get your vitamins and nutrients that you may not have been getting. Be good to your body and keep that immune system in check.
