6 Books To Read This Fall

Annie Dillard said ‘She read books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live’. This feels particularly fitting for today’s blog. There’s just something about getting cosy with a hot cup of coffee on an Autumn day with a book in hand and an entire world in your head.
Today I thought I’d recommend my favorite ones for this season.
1. Autumn - Ali Smith
No one says Autumn, quite literally on the tin (cover) like Scottish author Ali Smith does. This book encapsulates this season like no other.
2. A Poem for Every Autumn Day - Allie Esiri
If you’re more into poetry, this lovely collection allows you to read a fresh new poem daily all on the very loose topic of the Fall season.
3. Girl, Woman, Other - Bernandine Evaristo
It’s a book of interconnected stories about British black women navigating this world throughout the seasons. Girl, Woman, Other explores race, gender, and identity.
4. The Power of Positive Thinking: 10 Traits for Maximum Results - Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
I’m always promoting positive books. Read this for a shift in mindset. It’s a portal for positivity
5. If I Could Tell You Just One Thing...: Encounters with Remarkable People and Their Most Valuable Advice - Richard Reed
This is for someone who needs some inspiration or motivation. Everyone you meet is remarkable in a way. This book explores and teaches you just that.
6. Mabon: Rituals, Recipes & Lore for the Autumn Equinox - Diana Rajchel
This book is slightly different from the rest but rejoices in the harvest, nature, and meditations for the Autumn equinox.
