How to Process Emotions in a Healthy Way

Today, I want to teach you how to transform negatives into positives.

Sometimes when we feel emotional, we give ourselves ammunition to react poorly. 

If we don't give ourselves more information, we can ruminate it, and let it feel heavy in our body, heart and brain.

When we get emotional, our heartbeats increase and we activate our flight or fight mode.

Really, it’s often the case that we don’t process emotions in a healthy way. I want to help you.

Here’s 5 tips to process emotions and manage your mood:

1. Use your breath

Change the stage that your body is feeling in 3 2 1. Inhale for 4-6 secs, then exhale slowly. Deep belly breathing is so helpful and powerful.

2. Look at mudras

Mudras are special hand and finger gestures that help with balancing your body. With mudras, there are touch points to help with certain areas. One simple and effective way to control your feelings is by trying Mudras out.

3. Essential oils

 Essential oils are a girl’s best friend, believe me. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve seen, first hand, how oils can change your state.

4. Visualize more

During the pandemic, there was an inability to move. A lockdown, quarantine, whatever you call it, caused a stress response in our body. I try to adjust myself and consciously straighten my legs, spine, and feel that I am grounded. Before I sit in silence and visualize the life I wish to lead.

5. Get out and walk

Banish those negative emotions right away by getting out in nature and taking a walk. Make sure to think outwardly instead of inwardly and be at peace.
