4 Empowering Wellness Youtubers I Follow
Health and wellness mixed in with social media can be tricky. With so many trends, fads, and even misinformation out there, it can be hard to find reliable resources. YouTube may be open to all wellness ideologies but this is also why it is so important to do your research!
With that in mind as a certified yoga instructor, I can proudly say that these are 4 YouTubers that I follow:
1. Jessamyn Stanley (Body Positive Yoga and Wellness)
Jessamyn Stanley is a knowledgeable, accredited yoga instructor that
reminds us all that yoga is everyone, of every color, shape, and size. She
creates dynamic, accessible yoga routines from beginners to more
advanced yoga students. As yoga has taken the wellness world by storm, I
try to find role models that stay true to themselves, their craft, and bring
positivity to the world.
2. Sadia Badiei of Pick Up Limes (Plant-based, Easy Recipes)
Exercise is only one part of a healthy lifestyle - food plays a paramount role.
Sadia of Pick Up Limes is a long-standing staple in the YouTube food
community that provides intercultural, easy, and nutritious plant-based
recipes that everyone can enjoy. She gives a variety of recipes and food
plans for everyone from those who maybe have only 15 minutes to cook, or
to those who are keen on adding some more greens into their lives.
3. Kristi of Gone Adventuring Pilates
Kristi is a certified Pilates instructor who will take you from a novice to a
pilates pro in no time. For those of you new to pilates, she has
equipment-free workouts available to show you the basics. Also, for more
advanced workouts, she has instructional videos on more challenging
exercises, as well as how to use pilates equipment properly and safely.
Whether you want to dedicate 5 minutes or 30 minutes to workout it
is up to you! With her programs, Kristi strives to create a large and
supportive community focused on their well-being and health.
4. Joanna Soh
Joanna Soh has a Master's in Mental Health and Psychological Medicine and
is always ready to support her routines with science. A self-aware influencer
and YouTuber, Soh provides so many different resources while maintaining a
body-positive, but encouraging attitude to her work. She covers healthy
recipes, workouts and talks about the psychology of hunger and breaking
down fitness trends!
After finding such positive influences, such as these YouTubers and many more, I was also inspired to start my own content focusing on health and wellness myself! Please check out my channel for lifestyle coaching and wellness tips as well as some useful yoga techniques. As someone who is passionate about wellness and healing, I’m not looking for a quick fix or trend - I am looking for facts, truth, and community!
