Connect to Your Body With Your Horoscope

Before we get started, what is a horoscope?…

A horoscope is a short-term forecast of someone’s future that is affected by the position of certain stars, planets, as well as the person’s own star sign. Each zodiac sign is influenced differently by these unearthly forces as each sign has its own specific nature and traits.

So, how do these horoscopes affect our bodies?

Our horoscopes directly influence how we connect to our bodies and ourselves in general. Each day can hold something different for each star sign as many things outside of our control can shift our moods, attitudes, motivations. What is important to remember is that while our horoscope may change daily, monthly, or even yearly - our star sign and astrological power will always stay true.  This includes the best way to connect our bodies and minds, to find alignment. As we navigate how to best use our horoscope to guide us through our daily lives, being in alignment with our zodiac’s unchangeable nature can help us discover new things about ourselves and be our most authentic selves.

Here are some of the many ways to  connect with your body through your horoscope and sign:

For Our Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius

Fire signs are often high-energy, require action, and can get bored easily. Although everyone can usually benefit from a moment of stillness, this isn’t always the method for the fire signs. Fire signs need a lot of rest to refuel their bodies (and avoid burnout from all that energy!) and very dynamic and engaging exercises. Workout circuits or competitive sports hone in the fire sign’s need to keep their bodies engaged and challenged. 

For Our Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius

Breathing exercises should be a staple in every air sign’s health and wellness routine. It creates a grounding and calming foundation to then begin whatever other activities they wish to do. Afterward, finding activities that allow for conversation and are mentally stimulating, like memorizing a dance routine or tennis, are great for air signs. It can also be beneficial to have a workout buddy to keep our air signs motivated on the task at hand.

For Our Water Signs: Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio

Movement is especially important for water signs given their element. Often water signs can feel quite stagnant when they are in one place for too long and have gone a while without moving around. Besides enjoying activities in the water and swimming in general, I find that water signs particularly benefit from performing yoga each day. For those water signs who might not be too familiar with yoga, here is the perfect resource for you!

For Our Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn

Earth signs are known for their practical and functional nature and are prone to following patterns (both good and bad). To connect more to your body, use this trait in ways that bring you greater focus and fill you with intention. Consistency is key with earth signs. Activities like running, weightlifting, and pilates can help you build endurance while keeping to a routine that gives these signs the consistency they crave.
