Happy National Women’s Equality Day!

Today, we are going to be talking about a very important contributor to this world, WOMEN. You may be asking yourself, why just women? Doesn’t emotion and energy affect all genders? Of course, however, historically and around the globe, if we start to look at those little pockets of truth, the equality of women is something we’re still looking at, and have not yet achieved.
Women facing equality anywhere is a tough measure. But because it's so tough, we’ll come out more outspoken, resilient and fierce.
We sit here today in 2020, and it is unbelievable we are still fighting for basic human rights, and not just individuals, but women as a whole.
Why is it like this?
We are all humans, and don't all humans deserve this basic human right of equality? Fundamentally, the answer is yes.
However, if you look back, there have been constant struggles, for human beings and especially women.
In some ways, we haven't made enough progress in this space. In others, we have to recognize the beauty in what we have achieved.
Today marks the 100th anniversary, where we are celebrating the passing of the nineteenth amendment in the United States , which gave women the right to vote. This comes during an interesting moment in American history, where the brilliant Kamala Harris, an accomplished black woman, has been elected as our democratic vice president nominee.
At times it feels shocking that we had to give women the vote, considering what an impact women have on our society and community. Women were, and are quintessential to every single aspect of life.
During this time, let's ask ourselves 3 essential questions.
Where is the inequality in your life?
Where is the inequality in your community?
What can you do?
2020 has presented us with a massive opportunity to ask and answer these questions. In the midst of this global pandemic, which is not seeming to disappear anytime soon, we need to face the music.
There must be a global, communal, personal reckoning where we see imbalances in our lives. If we don’t, then we are doing ourselves a disservice.
Let's do the work and help and support and build up the structures to move forward, for ourselves and others.
Look at the past for lessons and guidance to give us something to focus on in our future and always remember-
You are worthy,
You are loved,
And you are deserving.
