Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I’m sure that this time last year, we never would have expected that this year could be so different.
Due to the pandemic, there will be a lot of differences this Thanksgiving,. but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a whole bunch to be grateful for.
Here’s a guide to navigating that:
1. Have a big family zoom call - Just because we can’t have a big family get together in real life, doesn’t mean we don’t have the technology to make it work. Yes, by now we’ve all become Zoom professionals. Get everyone involved this Thanksgiving!
2. Have a thanksgiving outside - That said, if you do have family and friends in your area, definitely get together but in a safe way. Why not brave the weather and have a celebration outside in the garden?
3. Get tested to ensure safety - If you’re wanting to be extra cautious, do get a Covid test before you visit any friends or family to make sure you’re not spreading the virus.
4. Buy festive masks - Face masks are a pretty new phenomenon to keep us safe. But keep it trendy and festive. Buy some Autumn themed ones for an extra celebratory experience.

5. Give back - Thanksgiving is all about embracing gratitude as well as giving back. Remember how lucky you are and remember you may be a lot more fortunate than others during the holidays. Donate your money or time to a local charity this year. Don’t forget about the professionals that are working this holiday, even amidst Covid, to help keep us safe. I’m sure the local fire department, police station, or hospital would love some delicious Thanksgiving treats! Don’t be shy!
Have a lovely Thanksgiving week lovelies,
Jackie
