Hi all! I just wanted to check in during these ever changing unprecedented times. Since Covid was announced as a pandemic in March, life took a whole new turn for us all. Now as we emerge into September and the season of fall, we’re blossoming in this ‘new normal’. As we put on our hat, coat and scarf, now we must always remember our protective face masks, and that’s not the only thing that’s changed in our routine.
As the world begins to slowly reopen, and there are certainly levels of normality that have returned. With this brings anxieties and nervousness. The world changed during lockdown - that’s just how it goes!
Self-care is something that deserves to find itself in our daily routine. As we rush back into our old lives, we must remember to give ourselves the love that we need.
Here are a few tips for navigating these weird times with a little bit of care and consideration, for ourselves:
Go on a socially distanced walk with those you love - There’s nothing quite like a walk in early September with the browning leaves and chilly weather. Catch up with close friends and family and enjoy the normality of everyday happenings and deep chats.
Educate yourself - Check out a new book that is both interesting and insightful. Whether you want to read up on philosophy or literature, educate yourself on a new topic that fuels you!
Buy a beautiful facemask / for outside and inside - Look, wearing a facemask all of the time can feel different. We’re not used to it at all. Change that narrative by buying a colourful one that makes you feel happy to put it on. As well as this, don’t forget to treat yourself to a spa face mask for the indoors. A nice soothing mask for our face at the end of the day can go a long way.
